Chief Operating Officer at an Undisclosed Company – Lagos

Ardent Universe is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer in Lagos to manage business operations and work with the CEO on delivering strategic objectives, improving service and strengthening financial discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily business activities, remove process bottlenecks and improve workflows.
• Convert business strategy into departmental targets and monitor operational performance.
• Oversee budgets and resource efficiency in cooperation with the finance team.
• Strengthen controls, risk escalation, reporting and service quality.
• Lead departmental heads and hold teams accountable for results.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or a related discipline.
• Seven to ten years of relevant experience, with substantial operations or management exposure.
• Prior experience in financial services, fintech, banking, lending, payments, investments or another regulated field.
• Strong budgeting, leadership, risk management, analytical and negotiation skills.
