GMP Sales Leader for Africa at Honeywell Technologies – Lagos

Honeywell Technologies is recruiting a full-time GMP Sales Leader for Africa in Lagos. The position leads specialists responsible for the organisation’s largest and most complex global sales opportunities, shaping pursuit strategy and improving win rates.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and assess Global Pursuit Managers and Specialists, building a high-performing team across geographic regions.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex, high-value global pursuits from qualification through strategy, proposals, presentations and negotiation support.
• Guide stakeholder mapping, value proposition development, competitive analysis, risk planning and win-theme selection.
• Coordinate sales, technical, finance, legal, product, delivery and executive stakeholders across regions.
• Ensure timely, high-quality bids and clear communication to clients and senior leadership.
• Improve pursuit methods, reusable tools, templates, performance measurement and knowledge sharing.
• Develop trusted executive relationships and align Honeywell solutions with client operational priorities and commercial outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced qualifications are preferred.
• Fifteen to twenty years’ experience in strategic pursuits, large-deal management or complex B2B sales.
• Proven team leadership and a track record winning complex, multimillion-dollar opportunities.
• Commercial knowledge of sectors such as petrochemicals, upstream and downstream operations, mining, LNG or power.
• Experience with CRM platforms, proposal tools, Microsoft Office, financial models and business cases.
• Executive communication, negotiation, decision-making, project prioritisation and strong cross-cultural collaboration.
• Flexibility for multinational working hours and potential business travel of up to 30%.
