Senior Civil Engineer (Manager) at Konstructum Contracting Company – Lagos

Konstructum Contracting Company is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer (Manager) in Lagos to provide technical direction and engineering assurance across civil, structural and EPCIC projects in infrastructure and energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review civil and structural designs, calculations, drawings, design criteria, specifications and technical approvals.
• Direct design of foundations, reinforced concrete, steel structures, earthworks, roads, drainage and site infrastructure.
• Evaluate engineering alternatives, constructability, technical risk and the integration of civil deliverables with other disciplines.
• Oversee site engineering and construction work throughout planning, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Review method statements, inspection plans, technical changes and contractor submissions and resolve design queries and deviations.
• Assess ground conditions, loading, structural integrity, materials and engineering risks; recommend corrective or preventive measures.
• Ensure quality assurance, HSE, regulatory and contractual compliance, including design risk assessment and technical investigations.
• Support budgets, estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, procurement, value engineering and variation management.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, project managers, internal teams and other stakeholders.
• Maintain technical reports, as-built documentation, records, engineering standards and lessons learned, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications and experience

• BEng or BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering; relevant postgraduate study is advantageous.
• Mandatory COREN registration and membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
• Fifteen to twenty years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably in EPC/EPCIC, energy, construction or infrastructure.
• Extensive experience in complex civil and structural design assurance, construction oversight, site engineering and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of Nigerian and relevant international engineering codes, structural materials, foundations, geotechnical work, technical assurance and HSE.
• Advanced use of relevant tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE or Revit.
• Sound commercial and project management awareness, strong professional judgement, leadership, reporting and communication.
