Head Chef at an Undisclosed Company via Domeo Resources International – Ozubulu

A hotel in Ozubulu, Anambra State is recruiting a Head Chef through Domeo Resources International to lead culinary production, kitchen standards, financial controls and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel’s kitchen, meal production and service for its restaurant, room service, banquets and events.
• Plan seasonal and standard menus, recipes, food presentation, dietary accommodations and portion controls.
• Inspect ingredients and completed meals, ensuring consistent quality and safe preparation.
• Enforce hygiene, allergen controls, temperature monitoring, cleaning schedules and appropriate food storage.
• Prepare food cost plans and budgets, minimise waste and monitor menu profitability.
• Oversee ingredient procurement, deliveries, stock counts and stock rotation.
• Recruit, supervise, roster, train and assess Sous Chefs, Chef de Partie and kitchen support staff.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, report faults, control usage and coordinate repairs.
• Lead banquet food planning and report on sales, cost, quality, hygiene, complaints and kitchen performance.

Requirements

• Diploma, HND or degree in Culinary Arts, Catering, Hospitality, Food Production or a related field.
• At least five years of professional kitchen experience, including two to three years’ senior kitchen supervisory or management experience.
• Expertise in Nigerian and international food, menu planning, cost control, kitchen safety and personnel management.
• Relevant culinary qualifications and recognised food-safety certification are advantages.
• Availability for shifts, evenings, weekends or holidays based on hotel needs.
