Inventory Accountant via Bradfield Consulting – Victoria Island, Lagos

A hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos is recruiting a full-time Inventory Accountant through Bradfield Consulting. Reporting to the Financial Manager or Financial Controller, this role maintains accurate inventory accounting, valuations and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Record stock purchases, receipts, transfers, issues, returns and approved adjustments in the correct accounts.
• Reconcile the inventory ledger with Stores and Pharmacy records, investigate variances and coordinate physical counts.
• Review valuation methods, cost of sales, expiry risks, stock losses and authorised write-offs.
• Work with Billing and clinical departments to reconcile items consumed against patient charges.
• Prepare monthly inventory schedules, financial-close reconciliations and audit documentation.
• Strengthen authorisation, stock records, inventory controls and segregation of duties across the hospital.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; ICAN or ACCA qualification is advantageous.
• Four to five years’ relevant experience in inventory, cost, stock-control or financial accounting.
• Knowledge of inventory valuation, reconciliations, accruals and cost-of-sales reporting.
• Experience with Sage, QuickBooks or similar systems, plus strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Analytical ability, attention to detail, professional integrity and effective teamwork.
