Operational Accountant at an Undisclosed Company via DET Consulting – Atan

An undisclosed employer is recruiting an Operational Accountant in Atan, Ogun State. The role will manage accounting, inventory reconciliation and manufacturing cost control in a recycling or related FMCG business.

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Operational Accountant with a strong background in a recycling company or related FMCG industry to manage daily accounting operations, financial reporting, cost control, inventory reconciliation, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, general ledger, and financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor production costs, operating expenses, budgets, and profitability.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounts.
• Track inventory, raw materials, finished goods, and stock movements.
• Monitor purchases, revenue, operational expenses, and cost variances.
• Ensure accurate documentation, internal controls, and compliance with applicable tax and accounting regulations.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, audits, and management decision-making.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Mandatory: Previous experience in a recycling company or related FMCG industry.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 50, Sage 300, QuickBooks, TallyPrime
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management modules is an advantage.
• High attention to detail, integrity, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Salary

N350,000 – N400,000 monthly.
