Portfolio Manager at Smart Partners Consulting Limited – Lagos
Smart Partners Consulting Limited is recruiting a full-time Portfolio Manager in Lagos to manage investment portfolios against client mandates, return objectives and risk limits.
Portfolio management and investment decisions
- Develop portfolio investment strategies based on client objectives and risk profiles.
- Analyse markets, economic indicators, securities, company performance, valuations and investment opportunities.
- Recommend and execute investments, asset allocation changes and portfolio rebalancing across relevant asset classes.
- Manage investment risks through diversification, portfolio construction and exposure monitoring.
- Identify opportunities in equities, fixed income, money-market products and alternative investments.
Reporting and compliance
- Monitor portfolio returns and prepare investment performance reports for clients and management.
- Maintain records of transactions, valuations and investment decisions, and comply with regulatory rules, internal policies and investment mandates.
- Collaborate with analysts and research teams and provide investment recommendations to the Chief Investment Officer.
Qualifications and competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Five to seven years’ experience in portfolio management, asset management, investment analysis or financial services.
- Experience managing investment portfolios, assessing financial instruments and conducting financial modelling.
- Understanding of capital markets, investment products, risk management and portfolio construction.
- CFA, CIS, ACCA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Strong quantitative reasoning, investment research, judgement, communication, accurate reporting and professional integrity.
