Brand & Marketing Specialist at VFD Group – Lagos

VFD Group is recruiting a Brand & Marketing Specialist in Lagos to develop its corporate identity, market visibility and stakeholder communications, supporting an organisation operating in Nigeria’s financial and capital markets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute brand and marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Maintain consistent corporate identity, tone, brand guidelines, templates and promotional materials.
• Evaluate brand perception and identify opportunities to strengthen reputation and market positioning.
• Lead digital and offline campaigns, and manage content across the website, social channels, newsletters and other communications.
• Develop articles, graphics, videos, infographics, campaign pieces and stakeholder updates.
• Translate complex financial market information into accessible communications.
• Track reach, engagement, website results and campaign effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Support press releases, media relationships, executive communications, announcements and approved public statements.
• Monitor media coverage, identify reputational risks and coordinate accurate messaging with management.
• Deliver marketing projects within agreed budgets and timelines and support event visibility and business leads.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration, Advertising or a related field.
• Four to seven years’ experience in brand management, corporate or marketing communications, digital marketing or public relations.
• Experience overseeing corporate brands, online platforms, campaigns and events.
• Excellent writing, editing, presenting, creative direction and project management.
• Proficiency with Office tools, design and content tools, social media and analytics platforms.
• Experience in financial services, capital markets, investment management, banking or another regulated industry is an advantage.
