QA / QC & HSE Manager at an Undisclosed Company via Sisa Method – Kogi

An undisclosed company is recruiting a QA/QC & HSE Manager for its Ajaokuta Mini-LNG project in Kogi State through Sisa Method Limited. The position provides independent oversight of construction and equipment installation, ensuring that work meets approved designs, contracts, safety requirements and applicable regulations.

Quality assurance and site inspections

• Develop and maintain project quality plans, inspection and test plans, hold points and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate inspection of imported equipment on arrival, document non-conformances and track corrective actions to closure.
• Conduct risk-based site surveillance and witness designated construction and installation inspections.

Health, safety and environmental responsibilities

• Implement the project HSE plan, including inductions, permits to work, risk assessments, lifting safety and emergency response arrangements.
• Maintain incident, near-miss and corrective-action registers, checking that required measures are completed.
• Work with process-safety specialists and original equipment manufacturers on hazard assessments, safeguards and readiness before introducing hazardous fluids.
• Maintain environmental and social compliance records and uphold stop-work authority for unsafe activities.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Health, Safety and Environment or a related discipline.
• At least seven years’ combined QA/QC and HSE experience on oil and gas, process or industrial construction projects.
• A recognised HSE qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
• Practical understanding of process safety, permit-to-work systems, hazardous areas, pressure systems and Nigerian HSE and environmental requirements.
• Independent judgement, clear communication and the confidence to halt unsafe work.
• QA/QC inspection certification, including CSWIP, ASNT or API, is an advantage.
