HSE Officer at Dangote Industries Limited – Kogi State
Dangote Industries Limited is recruiting a full-time HSE Officer in Kogi State to manage occupational health, safety and environmental controls at a polypropylene manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
- Inspect production areas, safety equipment and emergency-response systems for compliance.
- Apply safety rules and control machinery hazards, including lockout/tagout during maintenance.
- Conduct risk assessments and daily walkthroughs around extrusion, weaving, printing and conversion machinery.
- Investigate accidents, near misses and incidents, tracking corrective actions and preparing management reports.
- Organise inductions, toolbox talks, emergency drills and appropriate use of protective equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Two to four years of HSE experience in a heavy industrial, plastics or manufacturing setting.
- Working knowledge of machinery protection, firefighting arrangements, waste management and emergency plans.
- Excellent communication, judgement and attention to detail; NEBOSH, IOSH or comparable certification is preferred.
