Recovery Officer at Fina Trust Microfinance Bank – Lagos State (4 Openings)
Fina Trust Microfinance Bank is recruiting four full-time Recovery Officers across Lagos. Duty stations are Oshodi/Ladipo, Trade Fair/Alaba, Lagos Island and Ikeja.
Responsibilities
- Manage overdue and delinquent loan accounts and pursue repayment through calls, messages, correspondence and field visits.
- Visit customers’ businesses and residences and negotiate realistic repayment arrangements with borrowers and guarantors.
- Monitor loan portfolios for early warning signs, follow up missed promises and escalate high-risk accounts as appropriate.
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly recovery reports.
- Work with Relationship Officers, Branch Managers, Credit and Risk teams to improve portfolio quality.
- Document all recovery activities and ensure recovered money goes directly into approved bank accounts.
- Comply with bank credit policies, recovery procedures and relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- Two to four years’ experience in loan recovery, debt collection, credit administration or microfinance.
- Knowledge of delinquency management, credit risk and loan recovery processes.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, persistence and confidence when handling difficult customer discussions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, willingness to travel and capacity to meet recovery targets.
- Experience recovering SME, personal or commercial loans is an advantage.

Salary
₦200,000–₦350,000 per month.
