Sous Chef at Radisson Hotel Group – Benin City, Edo State
Radisson Hotel Group is recruiting a Sous Chef in Benin City, Edo State, to supervise kitchen production, support the Executive Chef and maintain high culinary and food-safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily food preparation across kitchens, banquets, buffets, room service and special events.
- Maintain recipe, presentation, portion-size and menu standards while supporting menu development.
- Supervise, coach and assess kitchen staff and organise daily shift communications.
- Enforce HACCP and local hygiene requirements, including safe storage, stock rotation and kitchen inspections.
- Control waste, food costs and inventory, and maintain equipment and stock records.
- Respond professionally to dining feedback and support VIP functions.
- Assist with staff rosters, departmental reports and team training.
Requirements
- Experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable supervisory kitchen position.
- Strong communication, leadership, teamwork and guest-service skills.
- Practical approach to kitchen tasks, creative problem-solving and sound professional judgement.
- Commitment to quality and food safety, with familiarity using hospitality IT systems.
