Accountant at U3U Security Services Limited – Uyo, Akwa Ibom
U3U Security Services Limited seeks an Accountant in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to manage its financial records, accounting operations and reporting. The full-time position is in the Finance and Accounts Department and reports to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate journals, ledgers and records of income, expenses, payments and all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements and maintain clear supporting documentation.
- Monitor cash flow, bank balances and the proper use of company funds.
- Issue authorised invoices, reconcile client payments with contracts, track outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare payroll schedules, verify attendance, deductions, allowances and overtime, and reconcile salary payments with the HR team.
- Review expenditure requests, petty cash and reimbursements, enforce approvals and identify savings opportunities.
- Reconcile bank statements and investigate financial discrepancies.
- Assist with tax filings and monitor PAYE, pension and other statutory deductions and remittances.
- Support internal and external audits and work with consultants and authorities when authorised.
- Provide weekly and monthly financial reports, revenue analysis and immediate escalation of irregular transactions to management.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Five to seven years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong financial accuracy, integrity, accountability, confidentiality and ability to work independently.
Salary
₦80,000–₦100,000 per month.
