Accountant (Real Estate & Retail Industry) via LD&D Consulting – Ajah, Lagos State (Hybrid)

An undisclosed retail and real-estate business is recruiting a full-time Accountant in Ajah, Lagos, through LD&D Consulting. The hybrid schedule comprises three days on-site and two days off-site each week.

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our retail and real estate businesses.
• The ideal candidate must have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, cash-flow management, and financial controls, with at least 2 years of accounting experience in the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and handle day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash-flow forecasts, and ensure effective cash management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Monitor income, expenses, and financial transactions across retail and real estate operations.
• Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and other financial records.
• Track rental income, property-related expenses, retail sales, and operating costs.
• Implement and maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, and expense management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience in the real estate industry.
• Previous experience handling retail business accounts is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and cash-flow management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Zoho, Sage, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
