AI Developer at Athena Institute of Business and Technology – Remote

Athena Institute of Business and Technology is recruiting a full-time, remote AI Developer to design, deploy and maintain intelligent software that automates processes and supports business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, deploy and improve AI-powered applications, machine learning models and generative AI integrations.
• Develop AI chatbots, virtual assistants and document processing tools.
• Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications and integrations with enterprise systems, APIs and databases.
• Prepare, validate and analyse datasets for model training, evaluation and deployment.
• Test model quality, reliability, latency and cost; monitor applications and improve performance.
• Apply privacy, security and responsible AI practices and document technical architecture.
• Work with software engineers, data specialists and business teams to implement practical AI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or related field; equivalent practical expertise and a strong project portfolio may be considered.
• Three to five years’ experience in software, AI or machine-learning development.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn or comparable frameworks.
• Knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, NLP, RAG, embeddings and vector databases.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL, Git, model evaluation, deployment and testing.
• Cloud platform knowledge and awareness of AI privacy, security and responsible AI.
• AI agents, MLOps, Docker/Kubernetes, model fine-tuning or multimodal AI are advantages.
