Branch Internal Control Officer at an Undisclosed Microfinance Bank via FactBase Consulting – Lagos
A state microfinance bank is recruiting two Branch Internal Control Officers for Lagos Island and Mainland through FactBase Consulting Limited. The role safeguards branch operations by monitoring controls, cash balances, documentation and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review branch compliance with internal policies, standard procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out routine and unannounced cash counts and reconcile vault and teller balances.
- Investigate irregularities, suspected fraud and operational control breaches.
- Check transaction records, account-opening documentation, loan approvals and files.
- Prepare internal control, risk, fraud, exception and compliance reports.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics or another numerate discipline.
- At least three years’ experience in audit, microfinance, commercial banking or finance houses.
- Part qualification in ICAN or ACA is an advantage.
- Availability for deployment across branches on Lagos Island or Mainland.
Additional details
- Two openings cover Lagos Island and Lagos Mainland.
- Net monthly salary: ₦400,000–₦500,000, plus other benefits.
