Business Development Manager – CASE & Construction at Multichem Nigeria (Solevo Group) – Lagos
Multichem Nigeria (Solevo Group) is recruiting a Business Development Manager for CASE and Construction chemicals in Lagos, within its Commercial Chemicals department.
Portfolio and Supplier Development
- Develop specialty chemicals for coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers and construction applications.
- Identify portfolio gaps, market prospects, new products and suppliers.
- Manage supplier partnerships, launches, technical training and commercialisation programmes.
Technical Selling and Commercial Growth
- Work with customers’ R&D, production, procurement, quality and leadership teams on formulation and application needs.
- Recommend suitable products, coordinate trials and convert technical opportunities into commercial value.
- Deliver sales and margin targets, manage pricing and profitability, and maintain a reliable CRM pipeline.
- Collaborate with supply chain, finance, technical, customer service and compliance teams on forecasting and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Industrial Chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Seven to ten years of relevant experience in specialty chemicals, CASE, construction chemicals or chemical distribution.
- Technical understanding of formulations, application performance and portfolio management.
- Demonstrated business development, supplier management, key account and consultative sales skills.
- Proficiency in CRM, forecasting and reporting, with strong communication and negotiation.
- Postgraduate commercial qualifications, international supplier experience and West African market knowledge are advantages.
