Business Manager at an Undisclosed Financial Services Company via Elevated HR – Port Harcourt

A financial services business is recruiting a Business Manager in Port Harcourt through Elevated HR Limited. The manager will lead sales, credit assessment, loan recovery and daily operations while improving business performance and portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute sales and customer-acquisition strategies to increase loan disbursements, portfolio growth and revenue.
• Lead sales, credit, recovery and operational teams, setting clear performance targets and reviewing results.
• Identify new business segments and partnerships, and improve sales processes and client relationships.
• Coordinate daily business operations, administrative controls and management reporting.
• Oversee loan appraisal, customer verification, underwriting and approval processes within delegated limits.
• Monitor portfolio quality, repayment performance, delinquency and credit risk, and implement loss-prevention measures.
• Lead recovery activities for overdue loans, supervise recovery staff and implement lawful collection approaches.
• Use business reports and market analysis to recommend improvements and resolve operational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant experience, including managerial or supervisory work in sales, lending, credit or business operations.
• Strong knowledge of credit assessment, loan portfolio management and debt recovery.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, work independently and drive commercial targets.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, negotiation and Excel-reporting skills.
• High integrity, accountability and organisational discipline.
