Job Summary

• Villa Park Hotel and Suites, Abuja, is seeking a highly experienced, disciplined, and proactive Chief Security Officer (CSO) to oversee the hotel’s security operations and ensure the safety of guests, employees, visitors, and hotel assets.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enforcing security policies, supervising security personnel, managing potential threats, and maintaining a safe and secure hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily security operations across the hotel premises.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Supervise security personnel, duty rosters, patrols, and access control procedures.
• Ensure the safety and protection of hotel guests, employees, visitors, and property.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and ensure proper reporting and investigation of security incidents.
• Maintain effective visitor, contractor, vehicle, and goods movement controls.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, fire safety drills, evacuation procedures, and incident response.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and relevant security authorities.
• Investigate security breaches, theft, accidents, and other incidents, ensuring appropriate documentation.
• Conduct regular security training and briefings for security personnel and other employees.
• Prepare daily security reports and periodic management reports.
• Work closely with hotel management and departmental heads to maintain operational security standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of OND/HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant security experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Previous experience in hotel security, hospitality, corporate security, or a comparable environment is highly desirable.
• Retired military, police, or other recognized security personnel with relevant professional experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of security operations, CCTV surveillance, access control, fire safety, and emergency response.
• Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and report-writing skills.
• High level of integrity, discipline, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond effectively to emergencies.
