An FMCG food company is recruiting a Commercial Director in Lagos through Elevare Human Solutions Limited to lead national distribution, sales, marketing, product launches, commercial planning and revenue growth.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Commercial Director to lead its commercial operations and drive sustainable business growth.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across sales, marketing, distribution, brand development, pricing and revenue management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the company’s commercial growth strategy.
• Lead national sales, distribution and route to market development.
• Build and manage distributor networks and strategic customer relationships.
• Drive product launches, market penetration and revenue growth.
• Oversee commercial budgets, pricing, profitability and collections.
• Lead and develop high performing sales and marketing teams.
• Drive market intelligence, competitor analysis and business expansion.
• Organise commercial planning with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline. MBA is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive FMCG commercial experience, including at least 5 years in senior commercial leadership.
• Strong experience in Nigerian FMCG markets and commercial operations.
• Proven track record in revenue growth, distribution development and market expansion.
• Demonstrable experience in product launches and general trade execution.
• Substantial packaged food experience is strongly preferred, particularly in seasonings, snacks or breakfast products.
• Experience managing commercial budgets, profitability and multi regional teams.
