Head, DSR Transport at Dangote Group – Apapa

Dangote Group is recruiting a Head, DSR Transport in Apapa, Lagos, to manage fleet performance, logistics operations and safe, cost-effective deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Set and manage the transport and fleet budget, operational strategy and service delivery priorities.
• Oversee vehicle loading, dispatch, truck movements and deliveries between plants, warehouses and customers.
• Monitor turnaround times, OTIFIC performance, customer service, HSSE documentation and staff training.
• Direct fleet inspection, preventive maintenance, licensing, workshops, truck parks and fuel depots.
• Improve operating costs, route planning, data records and transport infrastructure.
• Coordinate with sales, production, supply chain and marketing functions and develop the logistics leadership team.

Requirements

• First degree in transportation, industrial engineering, management, statistics, accounting, social sciences or a related discipline.
• About 10–15 years’ logistics or transport experience, including at least ten years in senior management.
• Membership of CILT or another relevant professional transport body.
• Deep knowledge of fleet management, routing, transport regulations and HSSE.
• Competence with SAP, transport management systems, financial controls, reporting, team leadership and stakeholder engagement.
