Medical Laboratory Scientist at Cellulose Medical Diagnostics – Abuja

Cellulose Medical Diagnostics is recruiting a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist in Abuja. The role leads laboratory service delivery, quality assurance, specimen processing, result verification and the management of laboratory staff and records.

Responsibilities

• Establish and improve laboratory quality-control and quality-assurance systems and protocols.
• Manage specimen reception, logging, processing, storage and timely reporting.
• Maintain sample logbooks and reporting templates, including relevant clinical comments by the resident doctor.
• Verify and approve outgoing laboratory results.
• Monitor supplies and organise replenishment, scheduled maintenance and recalibration of instruments.
• Maintain accurate issue, maintenance and expiry logs, stock cards and other service records.
• Lead laboratory personnel, complete performance appraisals and provide professional guidance.
• Prepare technical presentations and represent the laboratory at relevant meetings.
• Coordinate with customer care, business development and other teams to support clients.
• Maintain safe and professional laboratory operations and carry out further duties assigned by the Medical Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Two to five years of post-NYSC experience.
• Valid practising licence from the Medical Laboratory Science Council.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Advanced computer literacy, leadership, teamwork, communication, initiative and independent decision-making.
