Operations and Asset Manager at an Undisclosed Company via Sisa Method – Abuja & Kogi

An undisclosed company is hiring an Operations and Asset Manager for its Ajaokuta mini-LNG project, with work covering Abuja and Kogi State. The position develops the systems, procedures and team needed to take the plant safely through installation, commissioning and the start of production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare an operations-readiness plan with clear owners, milestones, deliverables and gate criteria.
• Define the operating organisation, staffing levels, shift structure, competency requirements and training programme.
• Develop procedures for normal operation, start-up, planned shutdown, emergency shutdown and equipment isolation.
• Create the asset register, equipment criticality assessments, maintenance strategy, work plans and critical-spares requirements.
• Coordinate equipment preservation, identification, inspection and storage in line with logistics needs and OEM instructions.
• Participate in system walkdowns and review operating manuals, alarm and trip lists, and handover records.
• Establish reliability measures, performance reporting, inventory controls and statutory inspection registers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• At least seven years of operations or maintenance experience in gas processing, LNG, power or process plants.
• Experience supporting commissioning, operational readiness or the start-up of new facilities.
• Knowledge of CMMS tools, asset integrity and inspection obligations.
• Ability to draft clear operating and maintenance procedures.
• Strong coordination skills across projects, vendors and health, safety and environment teams.
