Practice Lead, Cybersecurity at Heirs Technologies Limited – Lagos

Heirs Technologies Limited is hiring a Practice Lead, Cybersecurity in Lagos to direct enterprise-wide cyber strategy, operations, governance and product security. The executive role protects the company’s digital platforms, customer information, infrastructure and ecosystem while enabling secure growth.

Cybersecurity strategy and leadership

• Develop and execute a group-wide cybersecurity strategy aligned with business plans and risk appetite.
• Build and lead capabilities across governance, risk and compliance, security operations, engineering and DevSecOps.
• Report cybersecurity posture and mitigation activities to the Board and executive committee.
• Embed security-by-design into digital banking and enterprise platforms, including RedApp and Converge.

Risk management and operations

• Establish and enforce cyber risk controls across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments and third-party integrations.
• Oversee protection of personal, financial and enterprise data.
• Build and manage around-the-clock security operations and threat monitoring, including SIEM, EDR, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and red teaming.
• Lead incident response, crisis management, containment and recovery.
• Implement zero-trust security, identity and access management, endpoint protection and secure cloud controls across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Lead vendor due diligence and security risk oversight for fintech and infrastructure partners.

Compliance and culture

• Support compliance with NDPA/NDPR, the CBN Cybersecurity Framework, and applicable ISO 27001 and PCI DSS standards.
• Engage regulators including CBN, SEC, NITDA and NCC; lead audits and certifications.
• Promote cyber awareness, safe technology use, phishing simulations and security-conscious engineering practices.
• Track outcomes including critical incidents, vulnerabilities, compliance, platform security and recovery performance.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a related field and a master’s degree or MBA/MSc in Cybersecurity.
• At least 12–15 years’ cybersecurity experience, including five or more years in senior leadership.
• CISSP and/or CISM certification required; CISA, CRISC, CEH or CCSP is an advantage.
• Experience in technology or financial services, building enterprise security programmes and engaging boards, regulators and executive teams.
• Expertise in cloud security, incident response, DevSecOps, IAM, data privacy and cyber architecture.
• Strong strategic judgement, crisis leadership and ability to influence technical and commercial stakeholders.
