Research Assistant – Research Cluster I at Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) – Lagos
Pan-Atlantic University is recruiting a full-time Research Assistant in Lagos to support Research Cluster I, covering macroeconomic policy, finance, governance, trade, investment and development finance.
Key responsibilities
- Review academic, policy and industry literature and gather research evidence.
- Collect, clean, organise and interpret economic, financial, trade, investment and development datasets using quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- Track developments in macroeconomics, finance, trade, investment and sustainability and prepare concise briefings.
- Assist with research papers, policy briefs, manuscripts, presentations, grant proposals and conference materials, including references and formatting.
- Identify research grants, conferences, calls for papers and funding opportunities.
- Maintain databases, bibliographies and project records, and monitor publication and deliverable progress.
- Help coordinate seminars, workshops, conferences and engagements with public- and private-sector partners.
Qualifications and requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Trade, Investment, Development, Sustainability or a related field is desirable.
- Familiarity with research techniques, data analysis, academic referencing and ethical research practice is advantageous.
- Analytical thinking, careful evidence assessment and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and basic capability with statistical or quantitative analysis tools.
- Ability to organise parallel assignments, work independently and collaborate with academic staff.
