Senior Site Engineer at Casalavoro Limited – Wuse 2, Abuja

Casalavoro Limited is recruiting a Senior Site Engineer to lead and coordinate construction activities at assigned project sites in Wuse 2, Abuja. The role ensures work follows approved drawings, specifications, budgets, safety standards and project schedules, with particular emphasis on quality residential and real estate developments.

Site supervision and technical delivery

• Direct daily site operations and supervise engineers, foremen, artisans, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Ensure labour, materials, tools and equipment are available to meet planned activities and milestones.
• Interpret and implement architectural, structural and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) drawings.
• Resolve technical challenges, verify setting-out and measurements, review construction methods and liaise with consultants.
• Coordinate site teams and departments to support timely, cost-effective project delivery.

Quality, planning and safety

• Inspect construction work for compliance with approved specifications and quality standards and ensure prompt correction of defects.
• Maintain inspection, testing and quality control records.
• Prepare site work plans, monitor project progress, identify delays and recommend improvements.
• Enforce site HSE procedures, appropriate personal protective equipment, hazard controls and incident reporting.
• Promote safe, orderly work across all assigned sites.

Resources, reporting and leadership

• Verify material deliveries, monitor usage and reduce waste, coordinating with procurement and store teams.
• Ensure equipment and tools are correctly handled and maintained.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress updates, maintaining records of labour, materials, completed work, variations and resolutions.
• Escalate critical site issues to the Head of Construction and management.
• Assign work, supervise team performance and mentor junior engineering personnel.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least ten years’ proven experience in construction and site engineering, including supervision of medium- to large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural construction, building methods, engineering standards, safety and quality control.
• Ability to read architectural, structural and MEP drawings and coordinate multiple site activities.
• Experience managing construction personnel and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering or project management software.
• Strong leadership, organisation, problem-solving, communication and reporting skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• COREN registration or membership of a related professional body is an advantage.
