Protea Hotel Lagos Kuramo Waters is recruiting a full-time Waiter / Waitress in Victoria Island, Lagos, to provide attentive food and beverage service and maintain a welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, present menus, advise on choices and take accurate orders.
• Coordinate food and drink orders with the kitchen and bar, serving them promptly and correctly.
• Prepare tables, maintain cutlery and service equipment, clear settings and keep dining areas clean.
• Check guest satisfaction, address requests and escalate unresolved complaints.
• Process bills when authorised and work effectively with colleagues across hotel departments.
• Comply with food safety, personal hygiene, grooming, confidentiality and health and safety standards.
• Report operational faults, shortages and hazards, and participate in departmental training.

Requirements

• Minimum SSCE or equivalent; hospitality training is desirable.
• Previous food and beverage service experience and restaurant procedure knowledge are advantages.
• Strong guest service, verbal communication, order-taking, teamwork and attention to detail.
• Professional conduct, reliability and the ability to work effectively during busy service periods.
