Head, Commercial at Dangote Industries Limited – Lagos

Dangote Industries Limited is recruiting a Head of Commercial in Lagos to expand third-party sales of polypropylene woven sacks and manage pricing, customer relationships and revenue growth across two factories.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver a commercial growth strategy for external industrial customers and distribution channels.
• Find demand in cement, fertiliser, agricultural commodities, chemicals and other markets requiring woven sacks.
• Develop new product opportunities, negotiate customer agreements and manage major accounts.
• Set pricing and credit practices that protect margins amid polypropylene input-cost changes.
• Coordinate demand forecasts, product specifications and production capacity with factory teams.
• Guide customer experience, CRM, sales forecasts and commercial performance reporting.
• Recruit, coach and manage a high-performing sales and marketing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• Twelve or more years of commercial experience, including five years in senior leadership.
• Background in packaging, plastics, polymers, FMCG or industrial manufacturing, with woven-sack knowledge advantageous.
• Strong record of winning industrial accounts, developing distribution and managing pricing and margin.
• Leadership, negotiation, market analysis and cross-functional coordination skills.
