Housekeeping Manager at a Hospitality Company – Lagos

A hospitality company is recruiting a full-time Housekeeping Manager in Lagos to direct cleaning operations, uphold presentation standards and supervise housekeeping staff.

Housekeeping operations

• Oversee daily cleaning, preparation and inspection of rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas.
• Establish cleaning schedules, allocate staff and coordinate with front-office and maintenance personnel.
• Inspect work quality, resolve room-status differences and ensure guests receive timely service.
• Manage laundry, linen, uniforms, cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain adequate stock.
• Monitor cleaning practices, hygiene, safety and efficient use of resources.

Team and cost management

• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate housekeeping personnel and shift leads.
• Prepare duty rosters, organise briefings and address service shortcomings.
• Monitor departmental budgets, costs, supplies and stock usage.
• Investigate guest concerns, report service results and propose process improvements.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field.
• At least four years’ relevant housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, including supervisory responsibility.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards, room inspections, linen management, housekeeping chemicals and equipment.
• Leadership, inventory management, budget awareness and guest-service skills.

Monthly salary: ₦300,000–₦450,000 (negotiable).
