Male QC Officer at Shakti Industries Limited – Sango Ota, Ogun

Shakti Industries Limited is hiring a contract Male QC Officer in Sango Ota, Ogun State, to oversee quality inspection across its flexible packaging manufacturing processes, from incoming materials to finished rolls.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming polyethylene grades (LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE), additives, masterbatches, inks, adhesives and other inputs against specifications and supplier records; identify, segregate and report defective materials.
• Carry out start-up, routine and final checks in extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting and cutting, including film thickness, width, weight, colour, transparency, registration, sealing and dimensional accuracy.
• Identify defects such as gels, pinholes, wrinkles, scratches, contamination, inconsistent gauge, weak adhesion, delamination and poor seals, and inform production supervisors promptly.
• Test finished products as applicable for tensile strength, elongation, heat-seal integrity, impact and puncture resistance, coefficient of friction, print adhesion, lamination bonding, roll weight and winding quality.
• Compare products with approved samples and customer requirements; isolate nonconforming items and recommend release or rejection under the established approval process.
• Maintain daily inspection records, traceability information, defect logs, NCRs and periodic quality reports to support audits and corrective action.
• Participate in root-cause analysis, liaise with Production and Maintenance on corrective measures, and verify that improvements prevent recurrence.
• Support the quality management system and applicable ISO 9001:2015, GMP, food-packaging and FSSC 22000 requirements where adopted; assist audits, equipment calibration and housekeeping.
• Train and advise machine operators, support production trials and new material validation, and work with relevant departments to improve product quality and reduce waste.

Work expectations

Applicants should reside in Sango Ota or the surrounding area, or be open to relocating there.
