Regional Sales Officer (South-West) at Karishma – Kwara, Ogun, Ondo, Osun & Oyo

Karishma is recruiting a Regional Sales Officer (South-West) to expand its plastics and piping product sales across Kwara, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo States. The role covers customer acquisition, sales development, distributor relationships and coordination of product orders and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within assigned states, customer groups and sales territories.
• Prospect for customers through visits, calls, networking, referrals and approved sales channels.
• Present Karishma’s products and recommend suitable solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare customer enquiries and quotation requests in line with approved prices, terms and company policies.
• Follow up on leads, quotations and negotiations, securing orders within authorised commercial limits.
• Work towards assigned sales, account growth and customer acquisition targets.
• Build relationships with customers, distributors and other business partners to support repeat business and referrals.
• Maintain contact with existing customers and identify opportunities for additional sales.
• Coordinate with Client Services, Supply Chain, Production and Accounts to support order processing and delivery.
• Monitor orders and deliveries and assist with resolving customer service issues.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments with the Accounts team under approved credit terms.
• Maintain accurate records of prospecting, visits, sales activity, customer accounts, orders and follow-up actions.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and market updates for management review.
• Monitor competitors, customer preferences, local market trends and pricing developments.
• Participate in customer visits, sales meetings, exhibitions and other approved promotional activities.
• Escalate product, payment, delivery and service issues while observing the company’s pricing and sales procedures.

Requirements

• At least five years’ sales experience in the PVC piping industry.
• Previous experience in a sales, business development, customer acquisition or similar commercial position.
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of customer needs, pricing, credit arrangements and sales conversion.
• Ability to work towards measurable targets and manage customer visits and multiple opportunities independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and ERP or CRM platforms such as Dynamics 365.
• Good organisation, time management, attention to detail and professional discretion.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned states.
• Ability to collaborate with internal departments and respond professionally to customer concerns.

Work schedule and reporting

The position is designated part-time. The stated working days are Monday to Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Regional Sales Officer reports to the Deputy Managing Director and General Manager, has no direct reports, and collaborates with Client Services, Supply Chain, Production and Accounts.
