Remote In-House Copywriter at Athena Institute of Business and Technology – Remote Nigeria

Athena Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT) is recruiting a full-time remote In-House Copywriter in Nigeria to develop persuasive content for its marketing, digital channels and organisational communications.

Content development

• Write and edit original website copy, landing pages, blog articles, social posts, paid adverts and corporate communications.
• Create campaign concepts, product descriptions, promotional messages, newsletters and email sequences that support engagement and conversions.
• Research audiences and topics, apply brand-voice requirements, write strong headlines and calls to action, and tailor messages to different platforms.
• Apply SEO copywriting practices and recommend keywords, headings and metadata where appropriate.
• Proofread and fact-check content, maintain originality and copyright compliance, and improve work in response to feedback.

Collaboration and performance

• Collaborate with marketing, sales, designers and video teams on integrated campaigns.
• Manage competing assignments, deadlines and a content production schedule in a remote workplace.
• Use engagement and performance data to improve communication and marketing outcomes.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly, checking accuracy, originality and the quality of the final writing.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, Creative Writing or a related area; equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio may be considered.
• At least two to four years in copywriting, content writing, journalism or related marketing communications.
• Strong written English, storytelling, editing, audience research and persuasive copywriting.
• SEO, search intent, brand positioning, content management systems such as WordPress, and collaborative document tools.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant work, creative judgement, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• B2B, SaaS, e-commerce, email automation, analytics, case studies, white papers or SEO-tool experience is advantageous.
