Verification Officer at Leap MicroFinance Institution – Abuja (FCT)
Leap MicroFinance Institution is recruiting a Verification Officer in Abuja to verify loan applications and guarantor information, conduct field checks and provide accurate reports to support lending decisions.
Responsibilities
- Verify loan applicants and guarantors, including visits to homes and business premises.
- Review submitted documents, information and KYC records, including BVN, NIN and identity cards.
- Identify discrepancies and possible risks, document findings and submit verification reports promptly.
- Maintain secure, confidential verification records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in a relevant discipline.
- Previous verification or field operations experience; microfinance or banking experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the local area and its markets.
- Strong communication, investigative and analytical skills, integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and use Microsoft Office, including Excel.
