Key Account Manager – Nigeria at Emerson Automation Solutions – Lagos

Emerson Automation Solutions is recruiting a full-time Key Account Manager in Lagos to grow its Nigerian oil and gas accounts, including NNPCL joint ventures and international oil companies. The stated schedule is on-site, with substantial travel within and outside Nigeria.

Account leadership and business development

• Identify new oil and gas opportunities and expand existing key accounts across the Emerson portfolio.
• Develop consultative customer relationships and provide suitable automation products and services.
• Position solutions for larger projects, pursue competitor displacement and prepare strategic account plans.
• Coordinate internal and external sales teams, product specialists and marketing to improve execution.
• Support Nigerian business leadership in the Area Director’s absence.
• Maintain reliable CRM forecasts, account expectations and periodic business reviews.
• Build relationships with oil companies and relevant Nigerian regulatory and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in the West African oil and gas sector, including direct B2B selling.
• A record of building lasting customer relationships and commercial opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal, writing, communication and consultative sales capabilities.
• Process automation experience and cross-functional work in a matrix organisation are advantageous.
