Senior Software Engineer & IT Strategy Consultant at Quickli App – Lagos
Quickli App is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer & IT Strategy Consultant in Lagos on a contract basis. The adviser will work with executive leadership to strengthen platform architecture, engineering delivery and technology strategy for its digital marketplace.
Technology strategy
- Assess the platform’s current systems, engineering team and technology processes and recommend an investment and improvement roadmap.
- Translate business objectives into scalable technology decisions and advise management on digital transformation.
- Evaluate operational performance, platform reliability, customer acquisition and growth opportunities.
Engineering and marketplace architecture
- Review frontend and backend architecture, databases, APIs, cloud resources, security and performance.
- Recommend engineering standards, quality controls, technical governance, integration and modernisation.
- Advise on multi-vendor marketplaces, payment gateways, wallets, transaction settlement, commissions, ordering and vendor-management systems.
- Strengthen logistics technology, dispatch processes, live tracking and delivery optimisation.
- Identify appropriate opportunities for AI-assisted automation and analytics.
IT leadership and requirements
- Coach engineers, advise leaders on team structure and measure performance against meaningful engineering KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- Eight to ten years of relevant engineering and leadership experience, including IT strategy, architecture and complex digital platforms.
- Demonstrable experience with e-commerce, fintech, logistics or food-technology systems, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Strong commercial, leadership, analytical and communication skills; relevant technology consultancy experience is advantageous.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, Next.js, MongoDB, Redis, AWS, microservices or real-time systems is desirable.
